I came across a very nice pair of B-1 shearling trousers and upon checking the sizing it was noted the tag read "A"?

Now I thought the sizes for B-1's were Small, Medium and Large.

Can any-one shed any light on the size terms used?

And what English size would an "A" be?

MIKE.

I have not seen that sizing before, I too thought that sizing for B-1 trousers was small, medium and large. According to the AAF Class 13 catalogue dated 1943 it only mentions the three sizes for B-1 trousers. Is the "A" part of the tag an add on piece or is it integral to the rest of the label?
