Now the glaciers have melted back sufficiently & the temperature is above zero I looked through the parts 'area' for the Cheyanne tail turret sight mountings & armoured glass sections today, I have a 'few' other parts lying around too which might be useful for your project.

I finally got my reproduction tail turret armoured glass section finished , it might not 100% accurate but i reckon its pretty close.
a good friend sent me through the post the feeble remains of an original structure and from these plus trying to work out the correct angles from photos via the internet , i managed to recreate this.
Just need to find out what the top bearing casting looks like now?

Not much news on the tail turret restoration other than I have managed to find the last piece of ammunition tracking that I needed to finish of the short length that I had.
A good friend who is also rebuilding a tail turret supplied me with a new gun mount post which you can see behind the tracking , it still needs to be cut down to size plus the correct upper support bushing before it can be mount inside the turret structure.
The radius arms at the bottom of the post support the domed end which the guns protrude through , I think the time has come to start thinking about making a jig for its final rebuild?
