I recently found this very battered tool box at work and it looks like its got traces of light olive drab , is it an ex US army tool box as used by the USAAF ?

After a bit of work and a sand blast the old box came up quite well , I`m still not sure if its a mechanics or armourers tool but any way it got me intrested in going through my old tools and through a couple of old tool boxes that I was given a while ago.
as you can see I surprised my self as to what I had kicking around in fact some of these tools I use on a regular basis especially when I`m restoring jeeps , ha! 70 years on who would of thought it!
The grey box is a WW2 low voltage test set which I still use on jeeps to check and set up the 6v voltage regulators , it also can do 12v systems as well.
theres another piece of kit at work which is still in its original olive drab painted box , I think its a wave meter test set ?
I will post a picture of it this week................

This is the wave meter sorry signal generator that mentioned , it looks very civilian but it has a US military acceptance stamp on the rear of the body but as you can see its in very good condition.
I can only assume it came from Burtonwood Airbase as they had a lot of technical servicing bays and workshops?
