How long have you been working on this project now? You could write a book about it in your retirement!

Too long but I can see the light at the end now, it's the little bits and pieces that really make it come to life, I am looking forward to wiring it up and getting some noise in it

I was thinking of the radio room next, mainly as I have everything to go in it, but a section of waist would be good, I have the E-11 and the K-7 mount so would be easier to do.

Having a E-11 mount is a dream at the moment until I find one. Although an E-13 is more desirable to me. But in time I would like both.

Did the E-11 allow a K-13 gun-sight to be mounted?

MIKE.

Mike, the E-11 could hold the N-8 but not the K-13

I have the E-13 as well (sorry) and the K-13

Stick with it, I'm sure it will happen, if I come across any in my travels I will keep you in mind

I'm seriously going to attempt fabricating an E-13 mount and I have a few parts courtesy of ball turret.

I have a lead on the spade grips and something tells me they incorporate the full framework they sit with-in. So fingers crossed there.

Just need a left hand mounting lug, maybe I can get one casted by using a mirror image of my right handed one?

The hard bit is the large plate that the sight sits on. If I had the dimensions then one could be copied.

Everything else is easy? Even the buffer assembly, that doesn't need to work as its only for show.

On a closing note? I found one in America for $2500. Roughly £1600. Out of my reach for now. Is this expensive?

MIKE.

3-D scanning of a dismantled original then 3-D printing a copy may well be the way to go there Mike.
