Nearly forgot , i managed to find two more WW2 RAF mechanics lamps , heres a picture of them just before i refitted the lamp shades. They are now all up and working.
While looking around the yard once more i came away with two large spare parts cabinets , i should imagine these would of used been in the hangers.Once again after a sand blast , repair , a new set of castors and repaint they look great, so much so i am now using them my self. :)

Its finally arrived plus a third of another turret , funnily enough its my old turret that i found in the scrap yard more than twenty years ago.
As you all know this is a martin 250 turret as fitted to B24s,B26s and canadian Lancs , the chunk of turret that came with it has donated all the electric motors so thats a great start straight away.... ;)
For some reason i cant attatch a picture but i will try later?

Am I correct in saying that turret is a Martin 250C from a B-24 or B-26? What are your plans for it? I might be able to help with some components if your interested.

Hi keith
I would like to firstly pull the whole thing apart , have every thing sandblasted ,etched primed and then repair the damaged areas.
The idea then is to rebuild it as much as i can so any parts that you know of could be very usefull.
I have a friend who has lovely complete working example so i`m hopeing one day soon to pop down and take plenty of pictures so at least i have an idea what i`m looking for?.............colin

Latest finds are these bits and bobs !

the aerial came from one friend and the other bits came from another who was having a bit of a clear out ,along with the radios came another large oxy bottle.
unfortunately the bottle has been slightly altered but with a bit of patience and a new coat of paint it will come back to life.
I think the radio bits are transmitters? ...what i cant understand why theres three more when theres already a large one in the radio room?
As you can tell i am not that clued up on the radio side of things!

I was sold this many years ago as a hydraulic hand pump from a P51B but I have my doubts!

Does any body know for definite what it is off?
