It's been quiet on the forum I see!
We're back at Damyns Hall for the Military & Flying Machines Show on the 2nd & 3rd August, 2014. We're arriving on Thursday 31st July in the late afternoon to setup camp, try some of the 11 different Eau De Vie/Calvados/Lambig varieties I've aquired, and you're all more than welcome to join us for the weekend. We've a sizeable 120' display area, with plenty of room for you to pitch a tent/park a vehicle. Civvy tents/vehicles will need to be taken down/moved during show hours. We have a shower, Cooking facilities, etc... and LOTS of US WW2 AAF items, particularly tools and Aviation Mechanic related items for the display. My transport this year will be a Hercules 26" pushbike, completely unrestored & original, that was used by USAAF personnel based at RAF Hardwick (Sta 104/93rd BG (H)) and liberated (excuse the pun!) by a farm worker along with 2 others when the group departed in 1945.
If you want to come along and join us for the weekend, drop me a message and I'll add you to the display group entry.
Airshow wise, Maurice Hammond will display one of his P-51's each day, and we have a C-47 displaying both days too. Lots of other aircraft will display, but from an AAF aspect, these are the main ones.
