The top ammunition support rail has now been repaired and waiting to be sand blasted , the foot pedal assembly has been modified /painted and waiting to be fitted .unfortunately there has been no news on the turret ring so I think that has gone away , never mind there might be another one out there some where ?

A little bit further , the replica armour plate was collected last Thursday and primed.
All the old fastening studs removed and new ones replaced on the turret body , just need to make the angle iron brackets that secure the armour plate to the turret plus a whole lot of drilling.

I managed to make a new cover for the main electrical panel so along with the main body they will be ready for painting next week?.................fingers crossed

The electrical supply box has ben repainted and bolted to the seat base , the seat skin has been cut out and once I am happy with the curvature of the seat back I can then start re riveting all the old rear support structure.
Once that's done off we go again to the ally welders to get the breaks in the reinforcing repaired I think after that its due for a respray?

Getting there!
One of the biggest problems was cutting the sides so the alloy edging fitted perfectly and having to re shape the back frame work as it had been damaged over the years !

Its not been painted black yet but its in position for a trial fit . After the side support tubes have been fitted ,its then back off cleaned up and finaly coat of black paint.
I can then concentrate on the lower frontal armour plate and the fiiting of the ammunition cans and foot rest.
